Parks, an art walk, heritage trees, planning for growth and a crawfish festival are all hallmarks of Tualatin, Oregon. Located approximately 10 miles south of Portland, Tualatin is a rapidly growing part of the Portland metropolitan area.

Tualatin has more than 200 acres of parks, green spaces and greenways. Tualatin Commons, located in the center of downtown, is a 19 acre park that includes a pedestrian promenade around a three acre lake, public plazas, and an interactive fountain. In the summer, the Concerts on the Commons are held here. Community Park is the city’s largest park, and is located along the Tualatin River. Recreation opportunities at Community Park include an award winning skate park for skateboarders and inline skaters, a senior center, a community center, and youth activities and recreational services.
The Artwalk is a self guided tour of Tualatin’s public art. There are four loops with interconnected trails, with distances varying from one third to one mile long. Map kiosks and interpretive signs assist visitors in experiencing and interpreting the many different kinds of art represented on the Artwalk. The features range from sculptures to murals to a mastodon skeleton. It’s a fun and informative way to see public art.
